Shawnee Smith (5' 3") is a American actor and actress in the film and television industries. Smith is most well-known for playing Amanda Young in Saw and Linda in CBS"sitting show" Becker. Smith was the former lead singer of Fydolla, a metal band that toured America and Britain. Smith is now half of Smith & Pyle the country rock band alongside Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith is the daughter of Jim Smith, a former US Air Force Pilot and financial planner. She was an oncology nursing. She was born in Orangeburg South Carolina. In her early years, she emigrated with her family to South Carolina (now Van Nuys) to California. At the age of two her parents got divorced and at eight her mother got married yet again. She attended Ranchito Avenue Elementary School in Panorama City Los Angeles and Madison Jr. High in North Hollywood. She graduated from North Hollywood High School, North Hollywood California in 1987.
