Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of the character Detective Diane Russell. Also, she is known for her roles in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. She grew up within a household with four other brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed about becoming a court reporter. Her modeling career began at the age of 14 and later landed commercial roles when she moved from the south of England to New York. Her first job as an actor was as an innocent teenager in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. Like her career however, her private life has not been easy or prosperous. In the past, this talented actress struggled to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages fall apart. Her custody in 2005 was taken away from her.
